For the occasion of the sixty second anniversary of BAU, three doctorate degrees will be granted to the following:

His Excellency Mr. Toufic Kreishan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

He attained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Beirut Arab University in 1972, and worked as Head of the Accounting Department at the Jordan Petroleum Refinery. Then he began his career in the service of the country and society. He was a member of parliament in Jordan then he held the position of the Minister of Municipal, Rural and Environmental Affairs, Minister Parliamentary Affairs, then a member of the Jordanian Senate many times till he held the position Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan and Minister of Local Administration.


Architect Hani Azer, Honorary President of the “Egypt Can” Foundation in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Architect Hani Azer: holds the position of Advisor to the Egyptian Prime Minister for Transport and Tunnels. He is a member of the Egyptian Presidential Advisory Council for Scientists and Experts, a member of the Board of Trustees for Zewail City, a member of the Board of Trustees for King Salman University, and Honorary President of “Egypt Can” Foundation. In addition, he is a world-renowned tunnel expert and was the chief engineer of the Berlin Hauptbahnhof, the German capital's central station which was renovated after the fall of the Berlin Wall.


Architect Basseem Al-Halabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Benchmark International in the Lebanese Republic.

Architect Basseem Al-Halabi received a Bachelor of Architecture from Beirut Arab University. He is a real estate executive with more than 30 years of experience in planning, design and development of residential complexes and mixed-use projects. He has served in both the public and private sectors, which gave him in-depth knowledge of real estate markets and government laws. He is the recipient of several international awards, and is currently the Chairman and CEO of Benchmark International.


The keynote speaker of the ceremony will be Dr. Oussama Ziadé.

Dr. Oussama Ziadé, Chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO of Intellegile Group, developer and provider of Business Excellence solutions.

Dr. Ziadé is a four-year (2000 to 2003) member of “the Faces of Knowledge Management: 100 Companies that Matter”, that appears on the cover of KMWorld.

He is a serial entrepreneur, thought leader in the area of Business Excellence and a senior expert in alignment of capabilities and information technology to strategy with more than 28 years of experience.

Also considered as one of the visionaries in innovative business management.
